I work have 3 children but not enough cash to repair my roof, my daughter is in uni, my son in college and my youngest leaves in september to oin the forces, no we are all doing well but have no surplus cash for home repairs and cant find anywhere to help us been searching the net for a week now and keep hitting a brick wall. Im in east yorkshire any help much appreciated.

I am a disabled person and I need help with repairing the foundation of my back pourch. The insurance company gave me a few months to get if fixed or they will drop me and this is insurance from the Ohio Fair Plan, which means any other insurance company will probably not insure me. If I cannot get insurance the bank will call in the loan and I will be out of a home.

i am a friend of a disable person who need work done on her roof and water proof her basement. she needs repairs inside her house aswell. she is struggling to maintain with no income or very little income. she is still trying to help support her daughter in college. her daughter is away from home with no family where she is. she need a vehicle to help get her around and to go back and forth to school and work.

I need help with getting grant to help with rent all these sites ask for money off of a credit card that I dont have. Im frustrated and have no where else to turn. I lost my day time job a few weeks ago and just started my new job im one month behind and will be two months behind if I dont get help soon ive tried every outlet I can think of and keep hitting dead ends if someone knows how to get me the info I need before feiday then tjat would help my email.

I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING I KNOW TO GET FINANICAL HELP TO REPAIR OUR MOTHER HOUSE . SHE IS 83 YEARS OLD. I HAD IT CHECHED OUT AND WAS TOLD 45,000 DOLLARS.

 in response to HOUSEAVAILABLEFORFREE...   Getting grants for repairs needed in one's home is going to depend on what kinds of repairs you will need. I have a client now who will be getting some minor repairs done all because of a program that her local utility company has.

Why don't you look at your current utility company and see what programs they have available. There should also be a list of financial resources for those who are considered seniors. I have such literature for PA and there are a lot of resources there for seniors both financially and otherwise.

 in response to samoy2e...   The problem is that you post "future ex tenant" - which means they are still living there! I thought that security deposits were suppose to cover things like that?

But if you can prove that the tenant destroyed the place then you may be able to get some compensation for it!

I have a friend who lives in Ohio. I know I have made post about different programs in Ohio in my blog here

I would contact your local city hall as out here in the town I grew up in they had programs where the money didn't have to be paid back for painting, roofing all done by people they selected. Over the years the amount went from 10 grand to 5grand and there is a was a waiting list. It would be a good idea to see if they are any programs back there by contacting city hall. If there is mold in the house where she is living, she will most likely have to move as that posses a health risk to her. If I find anything better I will post it in my blog.

That is great you are trying to help your sister. She is lucky to have you.

I am trying to help my sister find grant money to repair her house. She is a working, single mom. SHe owns a house and the basement is not safe, the walls are about to cave in, and there is a lot of moisture in the basement. Please let me know of any grant programs I can direct her to.

 in response to samoy2e...   When you say you need a grant to "revamp" my condo I hope that you are talking about a condo building and not just one condo apartment.  Landlords get grant monies for providing things like housing / shelter to low-incomed people and / or for providing handicapped-accessible shelter to those with disabilities.
